Staff Wellbeing is Everybody's Responsibility

Yours

Your wellbeing must be something you guard, top-up and get support with.

Team

We are all part of a team: department, pastoral team, middle leaders, SLT etc Look out for members of your team and ask the question: are things ok?

Leadership

True pastoral care needs to be felt and positively impact everyone in your community. It doesn't necessarily start with SLT, but modelling good self-care and championing the wellbeing of all staff is important.

True Wellbeing

Sleep, exercise, food, right level of motivation, stress levels...are all part of wellbeing.

Mental Health

We all have mental health and we should take care of it like we do our physical health

Help & Support

If you feel you are struggling try and talk sooner rather than later to someone you trust. There is always hope and there is always a way through - sometimes we just need someone to walk some of the road with us.

'Working in the Bubble'

Working in a school can be great but also you can begin to get cabin fever and life can start to feel very pressured. A way to get some perspective is to reach out past the bubble and get some external perspective. We cannot respond immediately but please feel free to get in touch and start a conversation. We obviously adhere to all safeguarding legislation & cannot provide specialist help but we can signpost organisations who can.
